Accountant General Tasks IPPIS Service Providers to End Glitches

The Accountant-General of the Federation, Dr. Oluwatoyin Madein has tasked IPPIS service providers to work towards permanently resolving the glitches and challenges in the payroll platform.

She handed down the charge at a meeting with IPPIS service providers in Abuja. 

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) had initiated the engagements with IPPIS service providers and other stakeholders as part of strategies to evolve permanent solutions to issues and challenges in the operations of the IPPIS.

Dr. Madein said the glitches in the IPPIS is worrisome to the government, stressing that it is imperative to entrench efficiency in the operations of the payroll system inorder to justify government’s huge investment in the project. 

She said the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation is determined to consolidate on the gains of the IPPIS and will work assiduously to maintain an efficient and trustworthy payroll system for the country. 

“The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation(OAGF) has taken notice of the challenges in the IPPIS and will do everything possible not only to resolve these, but to forestall future occurrence”, she said. 

Reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to the IPPIS, the Accoumtant General of the Federation (AGF) said there was no going back to the analog payroll system, maintaining that all that is necessary must be done to move forward. 

Dr. Madein who advocated continuous interaction and , collaboration between stakeholders in the IPPIS, constituted a technical committee comprising officers from the Office of the Accoumtant General of the Federation (OAGF) and the IPPIS service providers to discuss details on the way forward for the IPPIS.
