The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) has began the training of staff of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) on international standardisation processes.
Kelvin Acka, principal consultant of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), said that the training initiative would cover a broad spectrum of areas, including market-driven strategies, investment procedures, fire Safety, procurement processes, promotion, marketing, store management, and business administration.
Acka highlighted the benefits of the ISO training to include conforming to international best practices, being a market-driven organisation, helping management meet their leadership requirements, ensuring that processes are aligned with strategic direction, and requesting that the company key in.
He highlighted some of the organisations the company has certified, including the Nigeria Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), etc.
Managing Director of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC), Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, requested the company’s proposal to enrol staff.
He pledged his desire to train and retrain the manpower of the company for optimal productivity.
“With the right training and alignment with ISO principles, the company can enhance its market relevance and operational efficiency in the long term,” the MD added.
