The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has commenced an investment advocacy program on Radio Benue called Investment Clinic.
The BIPC-sponsored programme which debuted on Friday, March 22, 2024, is to give people in the Benue state the opportunity to learn more about investments through engaging discussions and expert insights.
The Managing Director of BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha Jr who was featured on the first edition of the programmeme, says the programmeme is designed to give Benue people essential strategies to make informed investment decisions and cultivate a robust financial portfolio.
He highlighted short-term businesses his management is working to achieve, including bakery, water, palm oil, beer, and fertiliser blending, among others, noting that when completed, the businesses will stimulate the economy, create jobs, and reduce capital flights.
Dr. Asemakaha suggested that to stimulate the economy, the state should give tax waivers to businesses that earn below N15 million, saying such a move will encourage local businesses and increase the GDP of the state.
The Managing Director added that, apart from the ongoing reforms that he started when he assumed office, BIPC will continue to create an enabling environment for local businesses to thrive and add value to the company.
He emphasized that through the Benue Local Investors Forum (BELIF), Fitch Rating, and BIPC Capital Ventures Fund, the state is gradually becoming an investment destination for investors.
The ‘Investment Clinic’ is to be aired every Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
