Solomon Iorpev Appointed Gov Alia Media Adviser

The Governor of Benue State, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has appointed a ace broadcaster, Mr. Solomon Terver Iorpev as his Technical Adviser on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication.

He was appointed on the 26th day of March, 2024,.

His appointment letter was signed by the Secretary to Benue State Government, Professor Joseph Alakali on behalf of the Governor.

Mr. Solomon Iorpev has a wide spectrum of experience in broadcasting that span over 2 decades in reputable media organisations including the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN where he voluntarily left it’s services as  Controller News.

The former Editor had earlier in his career served as Information Officer with the Benue State Government. 

He cut his teeth in broadcasting as a presenter with Radio Benue and also worked as a producer/presenter with harvest FM Makurdi, a similar position he  later held at Kapital FM Abuja.

The Ace broadcaster holds a Masters Degree in Public Relations and Advertising having studied mass communication in a first degree. 

He also has certificates in Basic Presentation skills and News production, Editing and reporting.

Solomon Iorpev emerged the newscaster of the year 2014 by the Nigerian Broadcast Merit Awards (NBMA) and 2017 by the Print and Electronic Media Owners Association (PEMOAN) 

He was until his appointment, Media Consultant, Events Manager and Compere and managing director of Dreamworld Media Plus.
