APC Condemns Attack, Burning of Aper Aku’s residence in Gboko

The All Progressives Congress APC Benue Chapter has condemned very strongly the attack and destruction of the residence of the first civilian Governor of Benue State, Late Apollos Aper Aku in Gboko.
A statement by Daniel Ihomun
Benue State Publicity Secretary,
All Progressives Congress, APC said the “party views this wicked, barbaric and unprovoked attack on the family of such an illustrious son who served the state with distinction as uncalled for, and expresses concern about the sudden return of thuggery and insecurity in the State.”

The party called on the “government of Benue State to quickly review its security approach to improve the protection of lives and properties in the State and charged security agencies to investigate these heinous crime and bring the perpetrators to book.”
“We share heartily in the agony of the Aku family as well as the many other families affected by this coordinated attacks by hoodlums in the Akaahan Adi Community and call on security agencies and all people of goodwill to come together to fight for, and safeguard Benue State from criminal elements and criminality in whatever colour it presents itself” the statement concluded.
