Major General Yahaya Decorates Newly Promoted Officers

The Commander Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (CCEME), Major General Baba Yahaya has decorated three newly promoted officers who benefitted from the Captain to Major 2024 PromotionĀ  Exercise with their new badges of rank.
The decoration ceremony took place at the Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Officers’ Mess, at Marda Barracks, Yaba Lagos State.
The beneficiary officers; Majors Norbet Ohai, Abiodun Babalola and Kingdom Koki, having attended all military and civil courses commensurate to their ranks were deemed worthy of promotion after due approval by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.
The CCEME in his remarks admonished them to remain disciplined and worthy ambassadors of the Corps.
He also urged them to build capacity and corps competences while maintaining the core values of loyalty, discipline and integrity among others.
Also speaking, the President Mess Committee, Brig Gen AK Onasoga charged the officers to discharge their duties conscientiously, take good care of their families and project a good image of the Nigerian Army.
Presenting the vote of thanks, Maj Norbet Ohai on behalf of the decorated officers thanked the Chief of Army Staff for the confidence reposed in them.
He also appreciated the CCEME and their various Commanders for their invaluable contributions.
He promised on behalf of other beneficiaries to live above board while pursuing their career in the service.
Highlights of the event include the decoration, words of advice and group photographs.
