CDS Play Host To Dein Of Agbor, Describes Traditional Institutions As Vanguard For National Stability

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa received the Dein of Agbor Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Dein Keagborekuzi Benjamin Gbenoba 1 on a courtesy call.
The CDS while receiving the traditional ruler, described traditional rulers as a vanguards for national stability.
General Musa appreciated the Monarch for finding time to visit the Defence Headquarters. He further said the Armed Forces of Nigeria ( AFN) will continue to partner with the traditional institutions to achieve it’s contitutional mandate.
He assured the First Class Chief of the AFN readiness to protect the nation territorial integrity in all fronts and to ensure peace and stability in Nigeria. Speaking further, the CDS maintained that the military is willing to address all forms of insecurity in the country.
Earlier in his remarks, the Dein of Agbor thanked the AFN for their dedication and great services to the nation and beyond.
He commended the sacrifices by members of the Armed Forces , while thanking the CDS for accepting the apology tendered by the people of Okouma over the killing of military personnel in an unfortunate attack that occured in march, 2024.
Finally, he described the AFN as the pinnacle of the nation while thanking the military for protecting the nation by also ensuring peace, economic growth, and stability.
