Tiv Community in Lagos Celebrates Cultural Fiesta

The Tiv Community in Lagos otherwise known as the Mdzough U Tiv Lagos has concluded plans to celebrate the one of the most powerful cultural events, the Tiv Heritage, culture and Unity.
The of theme of the bespoke cultural event is “the Tiv Heritage, Promoting unity, preserving culture and Traditions.”
The expansive event slated for 15th to 16th November 2024 at the National Stadium Surulere Lagos from 4pm till dawn will have Barr. Pius Ukeyima Akutah MON, the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council as the Chairman.


The Tiv Cultural Fiesta Lagos 2024 amongst other things aims to; Promote Tiv Cultural Heritage and traditions; Foster unity among Tiv people and especially the Tiv Community in Lagos;  Showcase our rich Cultural endowment and diversity and Encourage inter-cultural rapport.
The highlights at the occasion include; Traditional music,folk songs and dance performances: Cultural exhibitions and displays: The Orkwaor and Kumashe pageant parade featuring a variety of incredible Tiv regalia:  Unforgettable finger licking Tiv cuisine and Artistic performances.
Others are Paper presentations, Launching and appeal fund of N150 million for completion of Mdzough U Tiv Lagos Projects.
A statement from the Central Planning Committee said the Mzough U Tiv Lagos is excited to bring this amazing event to Lagos to celebrate the Tiv rich Cultural Heritage and promote unity amongst Tiv people.
The statement said invitation is open to everyone to be a part of this celebration and make history.
