In an efforts to bring unity and strengthen among the military personnel, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa has unveiled the Armed Forces of Nigeria Tattoo 2025 Logo.
Believing that the logo will serve as a source of pride and inspiration for military personnel and the public.
He also described the logo as a powerful symbol of the military’s resilience, and historical significance.
General Musa while unveiling the logo on Friday at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja further described it as a tribute to the armed forces’ legacy and vision.
“The unveiling of the Tattoo 2025 logo showcases the history, culture, practices, skills, discipline, and heritage of the Nigerian military.
“It represents discipline and an understanding of command, obedience, loyalty, dedication, and sacrifice.”
The Chief of Defence Staff further explained that every element of the new military logo has been designed to reflect the Armed Forces commitment to peace, security and independence as well its roles as a national pride.
According to him him, tattooing in the military is a name given where military showcase their history, culture, patriotism, skills, discipline and heritage.
He said, it also eliminates issues of indiscipline and clashes between civic – military and other acts of indiscipline.
“This tattoo is a parade. We invite members of other forces to showcase their parades, culture, and activities. This fosters unity between us.
“That is a critical element for every professional armed force and sets us apart from kangaroo forces or non-state actors who don’t understand these values.” He further stated.
In his remarks, the FCT Minister,Mr. Nyesom Wike who was represented by the Director of Tourism ,,Mrs. Ann Nenadi Dogo expressed his happiness and commended the Chief of Defence Staff , General Christopher Musa for unveiling the Military Tatto 2025 logo which he said will go along in promoting tourism in the capital city of Abuja.
He noted that military tattoo is a initiative that is not only bringing peace but also promoting tourism activities in the country most especially in FCT.
He assured that being him the Minister of the FCT, he will continue collaborating and partner with the military in carrying out their activities in order to make capital city number one destination in the whole of Africa and the world at large.
Earlier in his address, the Chairman of the Planning and Organising Committee, Rear Adm. Kabiru Mohammed also commended the military’s enduring legacy of courage, unity, and dedication. Rear Admiral Mohamed said the Tattoo 2025 initiative by the military aimed to showcase military operational excellence and a celebration of the men and women behind Nigeria’s formidable armed forces.
He said the tattoo will become a source of national pride and a testament to the resilience and capabilities of our military.
“The unveiling ceremony underscored the Nigerian Armed Forces’ dedication to excellence, unity, and their critical role in ensuring national security and cohesion”.
He, therefore, commended the present leadership Chief of Defence Staff and other Service Chiefs as well as both senior officers and other military personnel for making the event a success.
