The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed an incident involving its personnel and civilians at Unguwan Gangare, Barakallahu, Kaduna State.

According to the statement issued by the Director Public Relations and Information NAF, Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa Thursday said the incident resulted in injuries to some individuals, who are receiving medical care at the 461 NAF Hospital.

The statement regrettably stated that unfortunately, one life was lost.

He however, said NAF has reached out to the family of the deceased to express condolences and assure them of a thorough investigation and justice.

He promises that a full investigation is underway, and any personnel found culpable will face the full weight of the law, in line with the NAF’s commitment to justice and accountability.

The NAF urges members of the public to remain calm as they work diligently to ascertain the facts and ensure that appropriate actions are taken.

He therefore assures that NAF remains steadfast in its duty to protect and serve the Nigerian people while maintaining the trust and confidence of its host communities.

As the NAF continues to uphold the highest standards of conduct in all engagements, it is clear that the incident is being taken seriously, and all necessary steps are being taken to ensure justice and accountability.

Enugu Reporters noted that the NAF’s commitment to transparency and accountability is evident in its swift response to the incident and its assurance of a thorough investigation.

“The NAF remains a highly disciplined and professional force committed to upholding the highest standards of conduct in all engagements. A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is already underway.

“Any personnel found culpable will face the full weight of the law in line with our commitment to justice and accountability.

“We urge members of the public to remain calm as we work diligently to ascertain the facts and ensure that appropriate actions are taken.

The NAF remains steadfast in its duty to protect and serve the Nigerian people while maintaining the trust and confidence of our host communities.“ The statement read in parts.
