65 Women of Impact: First Lady Tinubu, Musawa, Okonjo-Iweala, Others, Nominated for Award

Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy has been nominated as one of the 65 Nigerian women being recognized for their outstanding contributions to the country’s development.

The announcement was made Wednesday morning on the Morning Show, of Arise News according to Dr. Nneka Ikem Anibeze, the SA Media & Publicity to the minister.

The “Women of Impact” award is an initiative by Arise Group, owners of Thisday Newspapers and Arise, which celebrates the top 65 women who have made significant impacts in various fields.

Minister Musawa was nominated for her innovative work in promoting Nigeria’s art, culture, tourism and creative economy

She was nominated alongside fellow ministers, Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim of the Women Affairs Ministry, Doris Uzoka Aniete of the Ministry of Finance, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu of the Foreign Affairs Ministry and Jumoke Oduwole of Trade and Investment Ministry.

Other notable nominees include the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who has been a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, as well as Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s economic development.

HE. Amina Mohammed, Justice Kudirat Kekere – Ekun, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagha and Ojinika Okpe of Arise news are also amongst the  nominees.

The award ceremony, scheduled to take place on March 30, 2025, at Eko Hotel and suites, promises to be an exciting event. It is part of activities marking the International Month for Women, celebrate the achievements of these remarkable women and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
