The Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Barr Hannatu Musa Musawa has expressed gratitude to Arise Group for recognising 65 Women Making Impact and has praised Nigerian women for breaking gender barriers.

Musawa made this known at a gala night held at Eko Hotel, Lagos on Monday, to honour a remarkable group of Nigerian women to mark International Women’s Month.

Receiving her award from former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Minister Miusawa emphasized the strength and resilience of women, citing their ability to be both sensitive and courageous.
Musawa hoped that her achievement would inspire young girls across Nigeria to thrive and reach new heights.

“It is a huge honour for me in a country like Nigeria, where so many women have broken the glass ceiling to be honoured in this way. The greatest thing about women is their ability to be sensitive and emotional but at the same time, courageous and strong.
“There is an honour and prestige that comes with being a woman. It is a huge honour for me and I hope that all of us will stand as a representation so that all the little girls all over Nigeria will know that they too can thrive and break that glass ceiling”.

Musawa, a distinguished Nigerian lawyer, politician, and writer who
exemplifies dedication and excellence, added that the recognition is a testament to the power of women everywhere.

The Women of Impact Awards recognize 65 outstanding Nigerian women, including Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who was applauded for her significant contributions to the World Trade Organization and Nigeria’s economic development, H. E. Amina Mohammed, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduagha and Obiageli Ezekwesili, the minister of Trade and Investment Ministry Jumoke Oduwole, Hadiza Bala Usman Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination/Head, Central Results Delivery and Coordination Unit (CRDCU), as well as
