Staff of the BIPC Bread and Water Factories today marked the one-year anniversary of operations with Group Managing Director (GMD) of BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, CFA.
Launched on May 27, 2024, the factories were established as part of BIPC’s strategic push to stimulate economy, ensure food production, and job creation in Benue State.
One year on, the facilities have not only sustained operations but have also become a symbol of youth empowerment and economic development.
During the event, the Chief Operating Officer of BIPC Mergemax1, Mr. Declan Aondona, expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Asemakaha, describing him as a visionary leader who turned bold ideas into real opportunities.
He also commended Governor Hyacinth Alia for appointing a seasoned tecnocrat to head the company, noting that the decision was paying off in tangible results.
Production Manager of the water factory, Mr. Cephas Akase, appreciated Dr. Asemakaha for the opportunity they have been given to work in the factory.
“I am one of the many who have benefited from this vision. Today, I have a job, I contribute to the economy, and I am proud of what we are building,” he said.
The staff, dressed in customized outfits, carried placards with inscriptions such as “It’s One Year”, “Thank You Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia”, and “We’re with You, Your Excellency”.
In a symbolic gesture of appreciation, they presented a framed portrait to Dr. Asemakaha in recognition of his commitment and achievements in the past year.
Visibly moved by the outpouring of support, Dr. Asemakaha thanked the staff for their dedication and announced plans to designate a special day to celebrate them. He also pledged to increase staff wages as part of broader efforts to boost morale and performance.
“Your commitment is the engine driving our progress. I assure you that your efforts will be rewarded,” he said.
The anniversary celebration marks a major milestone for BIPC and underscores the success of investment initiatives driven by visionary leadership and strategic governance.
