ACOE Gets New Executives, Charged To Contribute to Journalism Growth

Members of the Association of Corporate Online Editor (ACOE) have elected 9 member as first substantive executives to pilot the affairs of the association for three years tenure

. Election which was held at FCT NUJ Council on 30th May, 2025, witnessed by Representative of FCT NUJ Council, Ms Joy Udem.

She charged the newly elected members to excel in the industry with good leadership style that will accommodate all members of the association and uphold Journalism standard.

The Newly elected executive members are: Chairman- Omosola Akingboye, Vice Chairman – Khadijat Ameen, General Secretary- Queen Kunde, Assistant Secretary- Peace Ofeoshi, Treasurer-Lady Joy Odor, Financial Secretary- Augustine Ehikioya, Welfare Officer- Chidiebere Ugwu, PRO – Gbemiga Olamikan and Provost- Moses Akwashiki.

Reacting to the newly executives after oath of office, the representative of NUJ FCT Council, Ms Joy Idam saluted the gender inclusion in the executive as women occupied most sensitive position.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman Omosola Akingboye on behalf of other executive members of ACOE, thanked members for the honour, assured that association will move forward under his leadership, promised to work together to reach the target goal of the association as the election went under free and fare atmosphere.

Akingboye therefore called on the partners and others to expect best from the association, noted that the association will up lift the standard of journalism.
