The day’s events began with the official commissioning of the NULGE Event Centre, a striking structure situated within the council secretariat and widely acclaimed as the first of its kind among the 25 local government areas in Delta State.

The Aniocha North Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Collins, praised Hon. Chinye for his longstanding commitment to the project, revealing that he had made the first donation toward the centre even before assuming his current office, while still serving as Chairman of the Delta State Waste Management Board.

“Upon assuming office, he promised to complete this project and today, he has fulfilled that promise,” Comrade Collins said.

According to a statement signed by Sochi Churchill Okolo, Senior Media Assistant to the Executive Chairman, Aniocha North LGA, f ollowing the commissioning, the atmosphere transitioned into spirited praise as residents, dignitaries, and government officials gathered for the thanksgiving service.

The event hall brimmed with participants from across the LGA, including traditional rulers, political leaders, clergy, community presidents, youths, women’s groups, and staff of the local government.

The highlight of the thanksgiving was a high-energy praise session led by the Head of Personnel Management (HPM) of the local government, which many described as a moment of divine connection and communal celebration.

Hon. Chinye himself led the general thanksgiving, dancing alongside attendees as they offered praises and donations in gratitude for a successful first year in office.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Chinye attributed the successes of his administration to divine guidance and the synergy between his development blueprint, themed “GAINS,” and the “MORE Agenda” of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

He expressed deep appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for his unwavering support and counsel.

He also paid glowing tributes to former Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, whom he described as a mentor and guiding influence, and acknowledged the contributions of prominent Aniocha North indigenes who have partnered with the local government to realize its developmental goals.

In his sermon, the guest pastor lauded the chairman for living up to his vision of rebuilding Aniocha North.

He called on the community to continue praying for Hon. Chinye, asking God to grant him strength, wisdom, and renewed commitment as he continues to serve the people.

The event, according to attendees, not only marked a milestone in leadership but also served as a moment of spiritual renewal and reaffirmation of the administration’s commitment to delivering more gains and renewed hope for the people of Aniocha North.
