Transcorp Power Limited Staff Schools successfully held their 8th biennial inter-house sports competition on February 15, 2023 at the school’s sports ground at Ekakpamre, Ughelli, Delta State, Nigeria .
Transcorp Power Limited Staff Schools are part of the flagship corporate social responsibility projects of Transcorp Power, which the company has consistently funded and maintained since 2013, when Transcorp acquired and took over the company.
The event, which was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life, saw pupils and students of the schools compete for their various houses in a number of sporting events including track and field events. At the end of the competition, Operations House emerged the overall best, while Mechanical House and Electrical House Won the second best and third best respectively.
Transcorp Power Limited, a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp) has continued to contribute significantly to the development and wellbeing of its host communities, Delta State and Nigeria being its operating state and country, respectively.
Commenting on the successful Inter-house sports event, the Managing Director/CEO of Transcorp Power Limited, Christopher Ezeafulukwe, represented by Oluwaseun Fadare, the Chief Technical Officer, highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities in schools and the role they play in ensuring the development of healthy and well-equipped individuals.
