Our correspondent further gathered that those being compromised have the confidence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The director of Research and Development, at the TETFUND, Alhaji Salihu Bakari, is also angling to be the Executive Secretary of the institution. He allegedly claimed he has been tipped for.the job because of his connection with Aso Rock cabals and his financial war chest.

The former Federal Permanent Secretary in the Federal ministry of Education, Sunday Ochono, who was appointed as the Executive by the Buhari administration last year.is currently heading the agency.

Ironically, the current minister of Education Prof Tahir Mamman and the current Executive Secretary of Universal Basic Education, UBEC, Hamid Bobboyi, all hail from Adamawa State where Alhaji Bakari hails from.

The source further added that, based on principles of the Federal character it will be grossly inappropriate to appoint another indigene of Adamawa State to head the TETFUND.

The source further revealed that Alhaji Bakari, is optimistic that he will secured the job because of his financial war chest.

A public affairs commentator Abas Ibrahim has warned against the dangers of buying appointments as this could lead to high level corruption.

“CEOs that pay for their jobs will naturally recover their the monies they paid in bribe. This will delegate development to the background ” he said.
