Ex-Benue First Lady, Mrs. Ortom Provides Free Medical Services for 80,000 poor people in 7rs

Ex-Benue First Lady, Mrs. Ortom Provides Free Medical Services for 80,000 poor people in 7rs

The immediate past Benue State First Lady, Mrs Eunice E. Ortom, through her non-profit organization, the Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) has provided free medical care to over 80,000 vulnerable Benue people in seven years.

This is even as the ESLF has commenced another round of free medical outreach in Makurdi, the Benue state capital. The outreach is in partnership with the New ESLF Hospital. The Free Medical Services hold on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd February 2024 starting from 9am each day.

According to a statement from ESLF, the free medical outreach is spurred by the Foundation’s vision of “a society without barriers to decent living”, and will in the next 2 days provide completely free medical services at the host community of Ugondo, the venue of the hospital.

It said the “activities outlined for the Free Medical Outreach include health talks, consultations, surgeries, laboratory investigation, administration of drugs, psychosocial counseling, awareness/sensitisation on Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management (MHHM) as well as Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).”

The ESLF HOSPITAL is a medical service provider offering Maternal and Child Health Services, Mental Health, and Psychosocial Support services (drug and substance abuse reformation, counseling, General Medical Services, and Vocational Skills Training (as a component of drug and substance abuse reformation).
