The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, mni, has encomium on officers and men of the Corps for their exceptional resilience, professionalism, and uncommon courage displayed during the Christmas travels across the country.

In his address to staff, the Corps Marshal described the performance of FRSC personnel as outstanding and historic, noting that their untiring commitment and strategic interventions were instrumental in clearing major traffic gridlocks, including the notoriously congested Lokoja axis and other critical corridors nationwide.

According to the Corps Marshal, the ability of FRSC personnel to confront intense traffic pressure, extended work hours, harsh weather conditions, and high vehicular volumes while maintaining discipline and professionalism, demonstrates the Corps’ readiness and capacity to safeguard lives, even under the most demanding circumstances.

In addition, the personnel rose beyond the call of duty. They stood firm, worked tirelessly, and delivered results when Nigerians needed them the most. Their courage, endurance, and professionalism during the Christmas travels reaffirm FRSC’s commitment to safer roads and seamless mobility.

Expectedly, he emphasised that the successful management of traffic flow during the festive period reflects the Corps’ growing operational efficiency, improved coordination, and strong leadership at all levels. He further acknowledged the sacrifices made by officers who remained on duty while others celebrated with their families, describing such dedication as the true hallmark of service and patriotism.

The Corps Marshal urged all personnel to sustain the momentum, remain vigilant, and continue to uphold the core values of the Corps as traffic volume remains high towards the New Year festivities. He also reassured Nigerians of FRSC’s continual resolve to ensure safer highways and hitch-free travels nationwide.

The Federal Road Safety Corps remains committed to its statutory mandate of reducing road crashes, promoting responsible road use, and protecting lives on Nigerian roads.
