The immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom, has expressed deep sadness over the death of the National Vice Chairman, South-South of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Daniel Osi Orbih.

He says throughout his years of political engagement, Orbih demonstrated remarkable dedication to the ideals of the PDP and remained an influential figure in Nigeria’s democratic process.

According to Chief Ortom, the death of the Edo-born politician is a great loss not only to the PDP but also to the people of his dear state, the South-South region and Nigeria at large.

He notes that Chief Orbih was a man who built enduring political relationships and contributed significantly to the development of democratic politics in the country.

Chief Ortom also extends his heartfelt condolences to the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, His Excellency Nyesom Wike, CON, a close political ally of the late Chief Orbih.

Chief Ortom shares in Wike’s grief over the loss of a trusted friend, colleague and fellow political leader, and prays that God would grant the FCT Minister and all those who shared a close bond with the late Orbih the strength and courage to come to terms with the painful loss.

The former Governor equally commiserates with the immediate family of the deceased, the leadership and entire membership of the PDP, as well as Chief Orbih’s friends, associates and political colleagues.

He prays that God would grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the soul of Chief Daniel Osi Orbih eternal rest.
