President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may sustain the Nigeria Air Project, Airport Concession, Second runway for the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and other projects in the aviation roadmap.
This is following assurance from the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN on Monday.
Upon assumption of duty as the ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Keyamo promised to sustain the work that was started in the aviation industry by the previous government.
The aviation roadmap was a key component of policy directive by President Muhammadu Buhari which was implemented by the then Minister of Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika.
All of the projects in the Aviation Roadmap where at advanced level of completion.
Mr. Keyamo who was greeted to a rousing welcome by the ministry’ staff also pledged selflessness to his duties.
President Tinubu swore-in Festus Keyamo SAN as Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development along other Ministers on Monday.
Speaking at the reception in the Ministry, Festus Keyamo said, “transparency, team spirit and selflessness is what can lead to the actualization of the mandate given to him by Mr. President for the Aviation Sector.”
“He pledged continuity in the work that have been done in the Aviation Sector and improvement on the modus operandi.” I am people oriented, and my aim is to satisfy people’’. Keyamo stated.
Speaking earlier on behalf of the Directors and staff of the Ministry, Permanent Secretary, Dr. Emmanuel Meribole expressed happiness and preparedness of staff to work with the Minister. ‘‘We know you are here to continue the good work of Mr President as concern the aviation sector and we assure you of our commitment to make sure we delivered our mandate’’
The Union Chairman, Hector Nnadi, in his brief remark expressed optimism that the Minister, following his track records and being a youth, full of energy, will perform well as the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace.
