The governorship petition tribunal sitting in Kaduna, has nullified the victory of Uba Sani of the declaring that the poll was inconclusive.

The tribunal gave this verdict on Thursday while delivering judgment virtually in a petition brought by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Isah Ashiru, challenging the election of Sani in the March 2023, election.

Our correspondent reports that ahead of the judgment, there was heavy security presence across Kaduna state.

Kaduna is a key state of the APC and the immediately past Governor, Nasir Elrufai is a strong APC member who was tipped to deliver the state for his party.

Based on this judgment, Governor Uba Sani may choose to face the rerun or appeal at the Court of Appeal.
