Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp) has clinched two prestigious awards at the 2023 World Business Outlook Awards, which held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Marriott Marquis, Queen’s Park, Bangkok, Thailand.


The Nigerian Exchange-listed Company was named the Most Diversified Conglomerate in Nigeria 2023, underscoring the company’s ability to thrive across various sectors and navigate dynamic market landscapes. Transcorp also won the award for Best Corporate Governance Company Nigeria 2023, reflecting its dedication to transparency, ethical practices, and responsible corporate citizenship. The company continues to uphold the highest standards in corporate governance, setting an example for the industry.


Similarly, one of Transcorp Group’s power subsidiaries Transcorp Power Limited won three awards at the ceremony. The Company was named Leading Power Generation Company Nigeria 2023, Most Sustainable Power Company Nigeria 2023, and its former Managing Director/CEO Christopher Ezeafulukwe was named CEO of the Year in the Power Sector Nigeria 2023.

World Business Outlook Awards 2023 is one of the most sought-after awards across the globe. In selecting the winners, various criteria were considered ranging from profitability, increase in geographic reach, business development, growth in assets, innovation, credit ratings, strategic relationships and more.


Ujal Nair, Editor of World Business Outlook said that it was a very tough decision picking the best teams for the awards, as many Companies across the globe had given their best to introduce top products and services in 2023. “Nevertheless, our Honourable Jury were able to select the most deserved professionals and brands from across the globe,” Nair said.
