The Caretaker Chairman of Kwande Local Government Area, Rev. Fr. Mark Teryila Hule, has called on people of Shangev Ya to be of help to one another at every given opportunity.
This was revealed in a statement issued by
Ahundu Joseph Ahundu, Head, Media and Public Affairs, Office of the Chairman.
Rev. Fr. Teryila Hule who was the Special Guest at the thanksgiving mass in honour of the Supervisory councilor representing Shangev Ya, Hon. David Vershima Iorhemen, at St. James Catholic Church Koti-Shangev Ya, yesterday Sunday, 28th January, 2024, noted that we grow through helping others.
He called on the Councillor and other public office holders to always help people in their constituencies, people who come to them for help and those who are in need, he stressed that they should replicate the attributes of his Principal, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia who is always passionate about helping the less privilege in the society.
He appreciated Hon. David Vershima Iorhemen, for making his people proud while praying that God should continue to bless and uplift him.
Later on, the entourage of the Caretaker Chairman equally made a stopover at Iyon Market to inspect the ongoing construction of public toilets in the market.
The Caretaker Chairman inspected the ongoing construction of Public Toilets in the market. The construction is being carried out by the Caretaker Chairman, Kwande Local Government Council.
The Council Boss in his reaction expressed satisfaction at the pace in which the project have gone and commended the project Manager for the quality of work done so far.
He promised to leave an imprint for all to see before the expiration of his assigned responsibility to Kwande people by the amiable Governor of Benue State Rev Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia.
The chairman further ensured that the project will be duely completed within the shortest possible time and advised indigenes encroaching on government approved land in the market area for residential purpose to desist forthwith as allocation of stalls/construction will commence soonest.
An illustrious Son of Iyon, a Liberian based Priest, Rev. Fr. Tersoo Gwaza Adamgbe on his part thanked the Chairman for his developmental strides which is in line with His Excellency Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s agenda.
He expressed optimism that the Public Toilets project will be completed on records time to arrest the situation which have resulted in an unhealthy environment contaminated by human waste within the Market.
Some of the key figures who joined the Chairman for the Project inspection are; Rev . Fr. Pilakyaa, Rev. Fr. Tersoo Gwaza, Supervisor on Revenue  Hon. David Vershima Iorhemen, Hon. Moses Lord Dzegeiwen, Mr. Christian Age, Hon. Neji, Hon. Ortese, Mr. Akumba Stephen among others.
