The Member House of Representatives for Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency, Hon. Terseer Ugbor has facilitated the establishment of the Nigeria Immigration Service operational base in a border local government of Kwande Local Government of Benue State.
The elated Hon. Ugbor commended the collective efforts of the local government authorities and the traditional rulers who approved the site in 2019.
A statement by Dagu Fred, his S.A Media and Publicity noted that “since assuming office, Hon. Ugbor has been at the forefront of advocating for this Immigration operational base and expressed gratitude to the Secretary of the Government of the Federation, Sen. Dr. George Akume for his invaluable assistance.”

He said the Rep Members also thanked the “Benue State Government for accepting that this operational base be established in Kwande and all people of Kwande/Ushongo Federal Constituency for their support.*
The statement noted that Ugbor is “determined that other agencies like the Nigerian Customs Service, Nigerian Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other security agencies will open operational bases in the constituency before the end of his term at the House of Representatives.”
He urged all local authorities and the people of Kwande Local Government to provide the contractors with a conducive environment, as they will soon commence work on the site.
