The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) tax force on doubling dorex remittances into Nigeria will report directly to the Governor of the CBN, Dr. Yemi Cardoso.
He gave the indication a press briefing at the conclusion of the World Bank/IMF Spring Meetings in Washington, DC on Saturday.
Recall the CBN agreed with International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) to set up a Collaborative Task Force to double remittance inflows into Nigeria.
World Bank data show that Nigeria’s average remittance ls inflow is around $20.5 billion. CBN is seeking to double this to boost dollar supplies.
