Finance Minister Lauds Chief of Defence Staff

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa has received the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy, Mr Wale Edun at the Defence Headquarters ( DHQ), Abuja.
The CDS who received the Minister in his office assured him of the Armed Forces of Nigeria ( AFN) readiness to continually defend Democracy in Nigeria.
General Musa showed appreciation to the minister for his support to the AFN towards the unhindered discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
He added that to a greater extend, the Military has been able to decimate the activities of terrorists, insurgence and other criminals operating in the country.
According to him, the AFN in collaboration with other security agencies are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of critical government assets and to ensure increase in oil production to boost economic activities.
Mr Wale Edun while responding commended the AFN for keeping the country together and protecting democracy at all cost. He said this will allow the economy to thrive while businesses prosper.
Speaking further, the minister said with the protection of life and properties, people will have a decent life to leave.
He also salutes the huge sacrifices of the Military to securing the country, while maintaining that the nation economy is in the right direction.
Mr Wale Edun confirmed that their is enough positive indicators showing desired results in the economic performance of the present administration.
