NIGCOMSAT To  Support NYSC TV

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Yushu’a Ahmed has expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Communication Satellite (NigComSat), under the leadership of its Managing Director, Engineer Nkechi Jane Egerton-Idehen for the agency’s willingness to support the NYSC Television Station with services that will upgrade the quality of its broadcast.
General Ahmed said the gesture would be accorded every necessary support from the Scheme.
Speaking further, the Director General added that NYSC in fulfilment of its mandate to mobilize Nigerian graduate youths for national development, would continue to supply manpower to various agencies and different sectors of Nigeria’s economy.
He stated this when he received the Managing Director of NigComSat, Engineer Everton-Idehen in his office in Abuja.
Speaking earlier, Engineer Everton-Idehen who said part of NigComSat’s mandate was to provide satellite services to telecommunications, security and television stations, disclosed that Nigeria is one of the few African countries that has launched their own satellites.
She said NigComSat is ready to provide the needed support which will ensure that NYSC Television perform maximally.
Egerton-Idehen noted with commendation, the over 5 decade roles of the NYSC in providing the nation with free skilled manpower through the deployment of graduate Nigerian youths of various skills to all sectors of the economy.
She added that this has contributed immensely to national development and nation building.
