The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has confirmed the surrendering of two notorious terrorists leaders ABU RADDE and UMAR BLACK, operating in Batsari and Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Director, Defence Media Operations DDMO, Major General Edward Buba in a statement said
the surrender was occassioned by ongoing synchronised offensive operations by the ground troops and the air component which resulted in several terrorist dislodged from their enclaves with high casualties.

He said during the operations, troops recovered assorted weapons, ammunitions as well as secured the release of 15 hostages held by the terrorist.

General Buba also said troops are sustaining the momentum as they continue the hunt for notorious terrorist leader, Bello Turji, among others. 

” On the whole, troops will continue to eliminate treats posed by terrorist and destroy them on the battlefield.

He reassured that terrorist either surrender or be buried on the battlefield.

He assured that the troops will continue with their offensive operations to create conditions whereby terrorist are denied the ability to carry out acts of terror against citizens.
