The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has announced the sale of ZEVA Premium beer and Oyi Bitters to accredited vendors.
A statement signed by Joyce Isiaku, Unit Head, Corporations said the sale of the products is expected to commence tomorrow, 19th March, 2025 at the company’s headquarters in Makurdi by 10:am.
Economy Footprint reports that BIPC had launched the premier alcoholic beverage, the Zeva Beer brand to the delight of customers.
Speaking at the launch on December 22, 2024, the governor of Benue State RV. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has said the launch speaks to Benue’s determination to harness it’s resources, build and revive dormant industries, and foster local economic growth.
“The decision to embark on the construction of the Food Basket Brewery reflects the vision of this administration to leverage Benue State’s immense agricultural resources to drive industrial growth. As the “Food Basket of the Nation,” Benue is endowed with abundant agricultural produce, yet the state has not fully capitalized on its potential for agro-based industrialization” he had said.
The Managing Director/CEO of BIPC Dr. Raymond Asemakaha had explained that BIPC had adopted the contract brewing model for Zeva Premium Lager Beer.
“This approach allows BIPC to bring it’s product to market quickly while ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality. It also positions BIPC strategically as it await the full operationalization of the Food Basket Brewery” which will produce Zeva and other brands.
