The COAS gave the assurance while addressing troops of 332 Artillery Regiment in Shendam, Plateau State, during his operations visit to the unit.

General Oluyede commended the soldiers for their sacrifice in the effort at maintaining peace and security in their area of responsibility.

He urged them to sustain their effort and be prepared to  deal decisively with any threat to peace and security on the plateau.

The COAS directed the immediate renovation of some dilapidated accommodation to give the barracks a face-lift and improve the troops’ living conditions.

The Army Chief also intervened by ordering the immediate provision of boreholes to address the challenge of perennial water scarcity in the barracks, amongst other interventions.
