The Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) has held its 2025 Annual Convocation Ceremony.
 This ceremony, which is 35th in the series was held in Honour of 72 Regular Course Cadets and Postgraduate students on Thursday, 25th September, 2025 at the institution’s Permanent site Afaka, Kaduna State.
The Vice President Federal Republic of Nigeria Sen. Kashim Shettima GCON was the Special Guest of Honour while the Honourable Minister of Defence His Excellency H E Badaru Abubakar CON mni was represented by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Christopher Musa GCON.
 In his welcome address, the Commandant of the Academy, Major General A K Ibrahim, informed that the Academic courses undertaken by the academy are fully accredited by the Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC).
He stated that the management’s passion for capacity building, discipline, optimum performance and skills has propelled most of its cadets to excel in their various disciplines in foreign missions.
The convocation featured the Conferment of Degrees, Presentation of Certificates and Academic prizes to the graduands, Admission of Postgraduate graduands into NDA Alumni and Award of Honorary Degrees to deserving personalities.
Categories of graduates were the Cadets Officers, Postgraduate Diploma students, Masters Degree students and holders of Philosophy degree (Ph. D) in various disciplines and faculties.
 Academic awards were given to best graduating Cadet students of not below second class upper division in various disciplines and faculties. The Honourable Minister of Defence Award went to the best graduating cadet in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology CDT. G.A.Olowokere. A total of 2,618 graduating students participated in this year’s 35th Convocation Ceremony.
 Honorary degrees were also awarded to eminent Nigerians, who have distinguished themselves in the service of humanity.
The Acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence, Dr. Sunday Musa Attah graced the occasion among other dignitaries.
