The Director General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, has urged corps members to embrace tasks ahead of 2026.

General Nafiu, made the charge in his new year message through the director of press NYSC, Caroline Embu, thanking them for patriotism, dedication, and resilience in their 2025, which contributed to our many successes.

“The old year has passed, and a new one has begun. As we start this year, I urge everyone to take concrete action: serve our country and humanity by actively supporting ministries, departments, and agencies, promote national unity and rebirth, and serve as visible examples of unity and progress, especially amid the current challenges facing our nation. Let us commit to making a tangible difference together.

“Management remains committed to strengthening national unity. We are improving service delivery and expanding corps empowerment, particularly through the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.

“I challenge all Corps Members and Staff to actively embrace the tasks ahead with renewed dedication and professionalism, seizing every opportunity to make a positive impact.

“Lets build on our successes and make 2026 a rewarding year for the NYSC Scheme and Nigeria.

“Remember, Nigeria is ours; Nigeria we serve.

“I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year, the statement averred.
