The Media Team of Prof. Sebastine Hon, SAN, has condemned the recent invasion of Msen Oil & Chemicals Nig. Ltd., located at Tse-Adekaa, Yandev Bypass, Gboko, Benue State by the governor of Benue State, Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Alia.

The property belongs to Prof. Sebastine Tar Hon, SAN, the frontline gubernatorial aspirant in Benue State

The incident occurred on Saturday, 21 February 2026.

The filling station, a private business enterprise was reportedly invaded by Governor Hyacinth Alia a few minutes before 6:00 p.m., accompanied by members of his security convoy.

According to the station’s management, the Governor’s convoy temporarily restricted movement within and around the premises.

“The Governor alighted from his vehicle and walked around the facility, proceeding toward the rear section of the premises near the restroom area. During this period, security personnel reportedly prevented the station manager and staff from approaching him” the station manager explained.

Eyewitnesses further reported that three gunshots were fired into the air by members of the security detail. The development allegedly caused panic among customers, staff, and passersby.

Management of the station expressed concern over the nature of the visit, noting that the premises constitute private property and a highly sensitive environment due to the presence of inflammable petroleum products.

They indicated that the incident created temporary disruption of business activities and heightened safety concerns.

The Media Team emphasizes the importance of ensuring that all actions taken within private business premises comply with established legal and safety protocols, particularly in facilities handling flammable substances.
