The management of Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC) has inspected the proposed site for the construction of a water treatment reservoir aimed at improving water supply to the company’s subsidiaries and residents of Makurdi and its environs.
The Group Managing Director of BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, who led other management staff on the inspection tour, said the project would help address the water challenges currently facing some of the company’s strategic business units, SBU’s.
According to him, the treated water from the reservoir is expected to serve BIPC-owned companies including the brewery, BIPC Water, and Bensono Fruits, as well as provide water supply to Makurdi and surrounding communities.
Dr. Asemakaha assured that the management is committed to ensuring the successful completion of the project, noting that the reservoir would boost productivity and improve operations across the company’s subsidiaries.
He also appreciated the commitment and support of the Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Iormem Alia, towards the growth and development of BIPC.
The site for the proposed reservoir is located opposite the brewery in Makurdi.
