The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of three students of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) from their off campus hostel along Awe Road, near the university’s temporary campus in Akunzare.

According to the police, one of the abducted students has been released, while efforts have been intensified to secure the safe rescue of the remaining two students.

The incident has heightened public anxiety over the safety and security of students across Nigeria. With concerns still lingering over the unresolved case of abducted students in Oyo State, this latest attack has further raised questions about the security of educational institutions nationwide.

Many Nigerians are calling for stronger security measures around schools and student hostels, stressing that learning environments must remain safe and protected. Stakeholders have urged security agencies and government authorities to act swiftly to rescue the remaining students and strengthen measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
