ICAO Rep Warns Against Crippling NCAA’s Financial Base

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence and former Governor of Zamfara State, H.E. Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON, has described the former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State and two-term Senator representing Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha, as a close personal friend and loyal party man.

The Minister stated that the pain of the bereavement suffered by Senator Nasiha’s family is deeply felt by him and by the entire APC family in Zamfara and beyond.

Speaking during a condolence visit to Senator Nasiha in Gusau on Saturday, Dr. Matawalle said he was in the state capital to commiserate with the former Deputy Governor and his family over the death of one of his wives, Hajiya Hauwa’u Kulu Nasiha, who passed away on Saturday evening in India.

“Senator Nasiha is a personal friend and a committed party stalwart. We worked closely together when I served as Governor and he was Deputy Governor. We shared many experiences in the service of Zamfara people,” the Minister said.

“As a matter of fact, the loss to Senator Nasiha’s family is a great loss to all of us. The demise of Hajiya Hauwa’u came as a shock and is deeply saddening. That is why I am here today to personally condole with Senator Nasiha and the entire family,” he added.

In his response, Senator Hassan Muhammad Nasiha Gusau expressed profound gratitude to the Minister for the visit. He described the death of Hajiya Hauwa’u as shocking and an irreparable loss to the family.

The Minister offered prayers for the repose of the soul of the deceased and prayed Almighty Allah to grant her Al-Jannah Firdaus. He also prayed for strength, patience and fortitude for the bereaved family to bear the painful loss.

The Minister was accompanied on the visit by the Senator representing Zamfara North and APC Senatorial Candidate for Zamfara North in the 2027 elections, Senator Sahabi Alhaji Ya’u, Dan Madamin Kaura; former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, H.E. Mukhtar Ahmad Anka, Sardaunan Anka; former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly and Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission, Rt. Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya; Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, National Agricultural Insurance Corporation, NAIC, Hon. Yazeed Shehu Danfulani, Turakin Zamfara; Zamfara State APC Secretary, Hon. Ibrahim Maigandi, Dan Malikim Gidan Goga; and other party leaders and associates.
