The maintenance exercise commenced today, Thursday, 3rd September 2026, and will continue tomorrow, Friday, 4th September 2026, for seven hours each day, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The maintenance exercise is being carried out to enable TCN’s maintenance crew to conduct routine checks on the transformers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Consequently, Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) is currently unable to off-take electricity to its customers from the T1 30MVA 132/33kV Power Transformer, affecting REAL and Sagamu. Similarly, customers supplied through the T2 30MVA 132/33kV Power Transformer, including CEPLASS, NNPC/Ogijo, Metafrique and Babcock, will be affected tomorrow, Friday, 4th September 2026, during the maintenance period.

TCN apologises for any inconvenience this maintenance exercise will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
