The ongoing consultations by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for Benue North-West, Dr. Eunice Ortom, received a major boost as the Nongov Nation in Guma Local Government Area expressed its support for her senatorial ambition. Dr. Ortom, accompanied by her husband and immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ortom; the PDP Governorship Candidate, Chief Mike Aondoakaa, SAN; the candidate for Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency, Dr. Emmanuel Shior; and other party stalwarts, was formally presented to the Nongov Nation.

Presenting the candidate, the PDP Leader in Nongov, Elder Charles Torbunde, said the choice of Dr. Eunice Ortom was a collective decision reached by the Minda elders in recognition of her sterling leadership qualities and the impact she made during her time as First Lady of Benue State. He expressed confidence that she would make the people proud and raise the bar of representation if elected to represent Zone B in the Senate. He thereafter presented her to the President-General of Nongov Worldwide, Mr. Benjamin Yuan, who welcomed the candidate and pledged the support of the Nongov Nation, describing her as not only a wife of the people but also a mother whose love, care and developmental initiatives had positively impacted many Nongov sons and daughters.
