The Presidential candidate of Labour Party , Mr. Peter Obi has defeated the Progressive Congress (APC) flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his home state, Lagos.
Mr. Obi won with the highest number of votes cast. Obi got 582,664 votes while Tinubu got 541,850.
Though Tinubu won more local governments, Obi defeated him with the majority of the votes cast.
The results in the 20 local governments of the state have been declared. Tinubu won in 11 while Obi won in nine local governments.
The local governments won by Tinubu include Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere and Mushin.
