The Nigerian Military have intensified their crackdown on terrorists, kidnappers, and oil thieves, achieving sweeping results across all regions of the country.
Major General Markus Kangye, Director Defence Media Operations, disclosed this in a statement issued to correspondents in Abuja said, “our gallant troops neutralised terrorists, rescued dozens of victims, and seized weapons across theatres of operation.”
According to him, the military has arrested 44 extremists in Benue and Taraba under Operation Whirl Stroke, the rescue of 28 victims in Zamfara, and the foiling of ransom payment worth ₦15m in Shinkafi.
Gen. Kangye noted that troops have also destroyed illegal refineries in the Niger Delta, denying criminals over ₦11.3m in stolen crude and products.”
“Civilians in conflict zones also had cause to cheer as troops secured safe farming activities in Borno, Zamfara, Plateau, and parts of Kaduna.
“We remain focused on defeating terrorism and banditry while protecting law-abiding citizens,” Kangye assured.
