This assurance was conveyed by the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Onyechi Appolonia Anele, during a courtesy visit by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Iniedo, at the Army Headquarters, Abuja, on 14 July 2026.

Speaking during the engagement, the Acting Director Army Public Relations, underscored that the complexity of modern security threats necessitates sustained synergy among security and intelligence agencies. She emphasized the importance of enhanced intelligence sharing, operational coordination, strategic communication, and institutional support.

While commending the Force PRO on his appointment, the Nigerian Army, she noted, remains resolute in deepening its collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force in line with the COAS’ command philosophy of advancing the transformation of the Nigerian Army into a more professional, adaptive, combat-ready and resilient force capable of operating effectively within a joint and multi-agency framework. She added that strengthened cooperation would further bolster ongoing efforts to combat terrorism, insurgency, kidnapping, banditry and other criminal activities, while enhancing public confidence in the nation’s security architecture.

In his remarks, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Iniedo, commended the Nigerian Army for its professionalism, sacrifices and operational achievements in joint operations nationwide. He acknowledged that the enduring partnership between the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force has significantly improved internal security and advocated for closer collaboration, particularly between the public relations departments, to enhance strategic communication, counter misinformation and project a unified national security narrative.

The visit reaffirmed the shared resolve of both institutions to sustain and deepen inter-agency cooperation in support of the Federal Government’s security objectives.
