The United Bank for Africa (UBA) has posted N3 trillion gross earnings in its audited financial results for the year ended December 31, 2025.
The bank also recorded a total assets growth of 9.4 per cent to N33.2 trillion up from N30.3 trillion at the end of 2024, alongside an 11.8 per cent increase in customer deposits from N24.3 trillion in 2024 to N27.2 trillion.
The results show that the business result for FY2025 have been impacted by material Loan loss Provisions of N331bn and fair value changes on derivatives of N227bn.
The bank assured that the Recovery team has been fortified and aggressively pursuing recovery of the affected facilities adding that all recoveries flow straight through to P&L in FY2026 and beyond.
The bank’s share capital and premium reached N504bn resulting from Rights Issues, whilst shareholders’ funds stood at N4.25trillion.
Also its capital adequacy clocked 23.2%.
The bank’s deposit growth of 11.8% to N27.2trillion and total asset growth of 9.4% to N33.2trillion is considered significant.
The bank assured that is poised to strategically grow its Risk Asset base is choice sectors, and the macroeconomic fundamentals strengthen, this should enhance earnings and profit in FY2026 and beyond.
The bank projected over N1trillion in growth this year.
