He said the willful destruction of the billboard is a clear indication that Prof. Sebastine Tar Hon SAN of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) is the Gubernatorial Candidate to beat in 2027!

He noted the act of destruction is regrettable and stands against the peaceful and tolerant values that the people of Benue are known for.

We believe political contests should be about ideas, not intimidation, he said, adding that every Nigerian has a constitutional right to stand for election and to campaign freely

We call on all political actors and supporters to embrace respect, tolerance, and peaceful engagement.

He noed that no candidate should be denied the space to present their vision to the people.

Benue is one. As we approach 2027, we must prioritize peace over provocation and programmes over violence.

The statement urged all people of goodwill, security agencies, and the populace to guard our democratic space and all stakeholders to reject vandalism in all its forms.
