DSS personnel supported by policemen, blocked the entrance into the courtroom and turned journalists away.
As gathered, the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Hudu Yunusa-Ari was in the court to testify in support of the petition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani.
The generality of the opinion in Adamawa state, are saying while recommend for Hudu’s prosecution at the same time denied him from testifying in an exercise that he supervised directly.
Binani had listed the Suspended REC, Yunusa-Ari as her star witness, in the suit she instituted at the tribunal seeking to nullify the election of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa state.
Yunusa-Ari, had during the April 15, 2023 governorship supplementary election, declared the APC candidate, Senator Binani, as the winner of the poll before the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC upturned the decision.
