Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are excited about the portfolio assigned to Nyesom Wike, the former governor of Rivers State.
Mr. Wike popularly called Mr. Infrastructure has excited Abuja residents who believe he will bring capacity to infrastructure development in Abuja.
John Atsuwe, a resident said “Abuja was becoming outdated outdated city. But with Wike’s appointment, a lot of facelift would happen. He will also make efforts to clean the city and build new infrastructure.”
Another resident Ibrahim Audi said Wike is indeed a veryery competent person and he has no doubt about Wike’s capacity to deliver on the job.
“I think it is one portfolio the president got it right. Wike is indeed a round peg in a round hole. I expect that Wike will work to improve the ambiance of Abuja. The issues of vows roaming the streets of Abuja isn’t acceptable. The issues of scavengers roaming round the city city is unavoidable and must be tackled because they are constituting security breaches too” he said.
