The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has sacked the Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule and declared the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate Hon. Devmatics Umbugadu as the winner.
Governor Sule is of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
The tribunal delivering judgement virtually held that the APC didn’t win the majority of the votes cast thus was wrongly returned elected by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC).
The tribunal concluded that based on the evidences before it, the PDP candidate scored more valid votes thus is the rightful winner of the March 18, 2023 Governoship Election in Nasarawa State.
