Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Murder Tiv Man in Alima Village, Kadarko Nasarawa

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have murdered a middle aged Tiv man identified as Mr. Samuel Nyagber Shaapela at Alima Village under Kadarko district, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Sources from the village said he was murdered around 12 midnight on 20th of August, 2025.

“Fulani have attacked Alima village in Kadarko district of Keana LGC, Nasarawa state and killed Mr Samuel Nyagber Shaapela around 12 midnight. Please help me to pray for peace in Kadarko community and Nigeria in general” a community source told our correspondent.

He further said the killing looked like a murder case as the assailants, got to the village at night, fired gunshots to scare other village residents, isolated him and macheted him to death.

He murders said the killers took his wife away but later released her.

Our correspondent reports that serval other Tiv communities in Keana Local Government, Doma Local Government and Awe Local Governments have come under sustained attacks by suspected Fulani herdsmen for years. Some communities have been sacked and their lands occupied.
