…Summit Targets $5 Billion Investment Platform for Jobs, Creation, Innovation and Global Competitiveness
The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) is set to host the Benue 2035 Economic Transformation, Capital Formation & Prosperity Summit, a major economic initiative aimed at unlocking Benue State’s vast potential, attracting investment, creating wealth and building a sustainable pathway to prosperity.
The three-day Summit will be held from Monday, 7 September to Wednesday, 9 September 2026, in Makurdi, Benue State, under the theme: “BENUE 2035 – From Potential to Prosperity: Building a $5 Billion Investment Platform for Job Creation, Prosperity and Global Competitiveness.”
The Summit will bring together political and economic leaders, investors, financial institutions, development partners, entrepreneurs, innovators, academics,
Accelerators, technology leaders and private-sector executives to develop a shared economic vision and practical investment roadmap for Benue.
The central objective is to move Benue from potential to productivity, productivity to investment, and investment to jobs, wealth creation and prosperity.
BIPC recognises that Benue has significant agricultural, human Capital, entrepreneurial and economic assets. The challenge is to convert these assets into productive enterprises, stronger incomes, sustainable employment, increased government revenue and long-term wealth for citizens.
A $5 BILLION INVESTMENT PLATFORM
A major focus of the Summit will be the development of a $5 billion investment platform capable of attracting domestic and international capital into bankable projects across priority sectors of the Benue economy.
The Summit will explore strategies for increasing GDP and per capita income, creating sustainable employment, strengthening Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), improving fiscal sustainability, increasing exports and foreign-exchange earnings, and positioning Benue as a competitive investment destination.
Particular emphasis will be placed on ensuring that more value is retained within Benue through agro-processing, manufacturing, industrialisation, logistics, technology and export-oriented businesses.
WEALTH CREATION, HUMAN CAPITAL AND THE NEW ECONOMY
The Benue 2035 agenda places wealth creation and human capital development at the centre of economic transformation.
The Summit will examine how Benue can equip its people—particularly its young population—with the skills, opportunities and enabling environment required to participate productively in the economy, build businesses and create sustainable livelihoods.
It will also focus strongly on innovation, digital economy and startups as new engines of growth and wealth creation.
This is particularly significant following the recent passage by the Benue State House of Assembly, Innovation,Digital & Startup Law, which provides an important foundation for developing the State’s technology and startup ecosystem.
The Summit will explore opportunities in digital infrastructure, Innovation , Accelerators artificial intelligence, automation, agritech, fintech, healthtech, edtech, software development, creative industries and other emerging sectors, with the goal of enabling young Benue entrepreneurs to move from ideas to viable businesses and ultimately to scalable enterprises.

Participants will engage in plenary sessions, facilitated breakout sessions, innovation exercises, collaborative design workshops and executive alignment sessions.
At the conclusion of the Summit, the organisers expect to produce a Benue 2035 Economic Transformation Platform, prioritised investment portfolio, capital formation roadmap, wealth-creation and enterprise development framework, human capital and digital innovation strategy, coordinated implementation framework and a 100-day action plan, with clearly identified institutional champions responsible for execution.
BUILDING A NEW ECONOMIC FUTURE FOR BENUE
The Benue 2035 Summit is ultimately about creating an economy where farmers earn more from what they produce, businesses can grow, young people can turn skills and ideas into enterprises, investors can find credible opportunities, industries can expand, and more citizens can participate in wealth creation.
BIPC believes that this transformation will require collective ambition, strategic partnerships, investment, innovation, human capital and disciplined execution.
The Company therefore calls on all invited stakeholders to bring their ideas, expertise, capital, networks and investment perspectives to the Summit and join in shaping a new economic future for Benue State.
