In Katsina, troops acting on timely information on movement of terrorists around Madaci Forest, Sabuwa LGA, mobilised and intercepted the criminals through tactical manoeuvres.

The action led to rescue of five female victims, including a mother and her infant, and three other minors and young adults from Danja and Funtua LGAs.

The victims have been handed over to Chairman of Bakori LGA, Hon. Abubakar Musa, for reunification with families. Troops have intensified patrols to dominate the area.

Similarly, in Sokoto, troops of 248 Reconnaissance Battalion repelled a terrorist attack in Badiya Village, Shagari LGA.

Acting on reliable intelligence, troops engaged the elements with superior firepower, forcing them to retreat and abandon a large herd of rustled livestock.

The recovered animals were returned to owners in a ceremony facilitated by Chairman of Shagari LGA and the District Head.
